Custom support documentation and video tutorials for end users
Do you want to cut back costs for support of your WordPress plugin or Mac application? Great documentation is key!
It’s my personal experience that short “do this, click there, do that” videos work best in showing how to use your software. Supplemented by a written explanation of “why” something works that way, you have documentation that will save you a lot of time in support.
Accessibility in video documentation
- All video tutorials I create are provided with closed captions. This is beneficial to all who can’t hear or who can’t turn on sound wherever they are at. Besides, videos set to public on YouTube, containing closed captions, get indexed by Google. This is a secondary benefit of closed captions.
- A highly underestimated number of people live with a cognitive disorder, such as ADHD, dyslexia, or autism. Therefore, my video tutorials do not contain any extreme zoom movements or background music.
Is your application or plugin not accessible?
It’s important that your application can be used by keyboard navigation and a screen reader and respects the rules of sufficient color contrast, I’ll happily consult you and your team on making it accessible first.
